Nancy

Flash placeholder

Nancy is 11. She was born with HIV, but developed AIDS very quickly because of her living conditions. The Rose Project bought her mother a plot of land. Volunteers built a hut for the family with electricity and clean running water. Nancy's doing well now. When you see what you can achieve with quite a small budget out here, it really does encourage you to take action.

The Rose Project supports people affected by HIV or AIDS in Eastern & Southern Africa. It provides medical, nursing and pyscho-social care. It is named after Rose Atieno, a young Kenyan woman who was estimated to have been the 16 millionth person to die of AIDS.
