Sex Workers

Sex workers in East & Southern Africa are forced into prostitution through poverty. "They are to be used but not to be seen." The Rose Project supports the Kenyan Volunteers Women's Rehabilitation Centre which gives women new skills such as tailoring and hairdressing so they can have a more dignified way of life.
The Rose Project supports people affected by HIV or AIDS in Eastern & Southern Africa. It provides medical, nursing and pyscho-social care. It is named after Rose Atieno, a young Kenyan woman who was estimated to have been the 16 millionth person to die of AIDS.
